Learning guitar

I started guitar lesson last week, and some music theory.

In the dim and distant past I did music theory, but I've long since forgotten that mostly.

Also you might ask why guitar lessons (if your not to critical). I'm self taught, so I only know what I know..?... I intend to get better, and self teaching often has its limits.

Hopefully the combination of the guitar lessons and theory/compostion will help me get a bit more of what is sloshing around in my head into something I can share.

Also a conversation a couple of days ago has got me wondering how much effort it would be to write an opera. That's three hours of music, a story and narration/script.

Writing a half hours worth of songs that are unlikely to get listened to is one thing, but putting the effort into a opera that will never be performed is a whole other level of self punishment.
