Hi, It's been a while since I posted in this blog and without meaning to be passive aggressive it has simply been that if no one is reading it then why bother?

There is a little bit of benefit in trying to frame thoughts and put them down much like a journal or diary, but I'm not sure that potentially sharing that with the world allows for the same freedom as a book that is locked in a draw under my bed in a strongbox with the combination 8765.

What has this got to do with plinky ... Fuck all.

Music lessons continue, but I've definitely plateaued, it happens with most new things one tries to learn. Talent and quick uptake bring an expectation of success that then starts to eat away at the enthusiasm and confidence once the plateau is hit.

I'm having similar issues with learning Italian, although I did visit an Italian restaurant last night and managed to order in Italian and have some minor pleasantries. I'm off to Italy next week for a short break so even if they don't speak English and there is no mobile signal its looking good for me not starving to death.

What has that got to do with plinky... Fuck all too.

What is plinky? I wrote is back in January, noodling? it sounded nice but I thought I could do something more fun with it. So I cut the arpeggio (if that's right) up on the computer and split it across the left, middle and right outlets. The lead notes of (beat 1 and 4 of 6/8 I think?) dance around. You've got to use headphones!!!

Personally it makes my eyes dance.

The other thing is that it is supposed to be deeper. It takes me on a particular emotional journey, as it builds and falls, but that is likely unique to me. Hopefully though you get carried on your own journey too.

It was finished months ago, but I was (and still am) uncomfortable with the guitar and mixing skills. I might upgrade to LogicPro soon (doh! why didn't I do that before releasing it!)

What has this got to do with the video???

I've got a video idea that could be quite simple but could also be a little more complicated. Basically using a grid of 24 lights to light with each "plink". Three columns (left, middle, right) so the light matches the noise etc.

I have yet to work out how to make such a video and so I've attempted to enlist a little help.
