We reached a 1000, but still no bread

Hi,

Satisfying week in that the streams crawled over the 1000 mark, and so by crude calculation that should have provided enough royalty to purchase a loaf of bread. The sad reality is that I'll need to have reached a lot more streams (still unclear) before any royalty gets paid, so I'll probably not get anything 😢.

Spring has been here for a couple of weeks though and the sky last week shared the sunshine and the beautiful blue sky. I hope like me you got to enjoy it and share in the wonderment.

It surrounds us all the time, and it is nearly anywhere you chose to look, it's just so much easier to find when the sun is shining.

I've got one song new song ready to release, the working title is Sailing away. It's classically strings based (unfortunately synthesised), and very smooth. Of course I love it, I just hope you do to.

If anyone who happens to be a part of a string section or quartet would like to get in contact and we can re-record it with real instruments, authentic sound that's be great, given that it's synthesised I can provide the sheet music too.

I have a second song that is also virtually ready to go but it feels a little thin in its third part. As I'm still very rookie with mixing, composition etc I'm not sure if it needs additional tracks or just a little magic with what's already there. I'm short on ideas as I like the clean line, don't want to complicate or confuse it. Anyway that's this weekends project to get that out. It's more my normal format.

I also feel like I should just pop out another new song this weekend, but I still don't understand the process and I'm not sure I've been exercising the right muscles lately but I'll give it a go.

I also have an instrumental that I really like, but the guitar skills aren't there and so I'm hesitant to put it out just of that reason. If you listen with a forgiving ear I think it's amazing (not that I'm biased) but if I'm critical it sounds so amateur it makes me cringe. Oh well maybe an EP by Monday then 😎.
