Bass (should I buy yes or no)

Do I need to by a Bass guitar? Most of the bass lines have been done either on my guitar or keyboard if it's been too challenging for my inexpert fingers.

If I buy a bass guitar will I get joy/satisfaction/happiness?

Will it be just another something to have around the house, not ever really being used another example of my purchasing crappiness

If I buy a bass will it make me a better musician, is that what I want?

Is another guitar to a budding musician like golf clubs to a golfer, just a way to excuse the lack of talent (although I asked about that and apparently they are shit for hitting golf balls).

Where will I put it?

But most important of all if I get one, which one do I get and what colour should it be?
